We had 2 swimmers represent Mt Wellington this year at Hawkes bay's new swimming pool.

Alex McIntosh (14) qualified for 7 events

• 50, 100, 200 breast
• 100, 200 free
• 200, 400im

making the finals for all events and coming home with 5 medals and some great PB's
Silver in: 

• 50 breast
• 100 breast
• 200 breast
• 200 im

Bronze in

• 400im

The 100 and 200 free finals were back to back after the 400 and 200 im, Alex placed well but the first races just too much out of her... amazing effort though.

Alyssa Wangford (14) returning to racing recently after a long injury spell did herself proud making the finals for 50 fly and grabbed a solid PB in the process. It was great to see her back racing again.

Overall an action packed week for racing, our little club did so well placing 43rd out 69 which we think is amazing considering we only had two swimmers representing. :)
