Two of our newest members Ryan and Mitchell Slater who recently transferred from Parnell, were keen to attend the Taupo Swimming Club XLR8 meet that was held over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of June. 

This meet is a regular fixture for Parnell to attend so the boys were keen not to lose touch with their mates. 

It was an all weekend affair with 4 sessions. (2 per day)

According to their mum, they had a great meet and the both boys came away with medals and also achieved personal best (PB) times in every event they entered. 

Ryan (9) won GOLD in the 50 fly and BRONZE in the 50 back

Mitchell (12) won BRONZE in the 200 breast and was glad to get some strong IM times. 

Congratulations to both boys for an awesome effort!
