Mt Wellington had 2 current members Courtney Phillips (19) and Sunny Sun (13) and retired Mt Welly Member Kerryn Phillips (22) travel to Rotorua to take part in the Ocean Swim Series  Blue Lake swim.

Courtney and Kerryn both tackling the longer 2.5km course and Sunny the 1km course. 

All three swimmers swam well coming away with medals from the event.

Courtney bettered her results from last year finishing with a gold medal for first non wetsuit female in her age group.

In fact she was first non wetsuit swimmer overall.

Her sister Kerryn coming out of swim retirement swam well to come away with two medals. Gold for first female non wetsuit swimmer in her age group and Silver for second female overall in her age group. Well done girls!

Sunny also finished with Gold for first in his age group and 4th overall, with only 6 seconds separating him from the first overall swimmer.
